Just a quick poll about what versions between the original and remix album you guys prefer. I think overall I like a lot of the remix versions on "SSSS" more so than the original "AC2000" mixes. The only one I prefer more in it's original form is "Electric Head Pt. 1"

This is a rather difficult poll indeed. I brought Supersexy Swingin' Sounds to me today to the campus. I love the grooves and beats...

I also rather enjoy the raw, harsh sounds on Astro-Creep 2000...

lets see...

I fucking adore the remixes for Electric Head pt. 2, Blood Milk and Sky, Grease Paint and Monkey Brains and I'm Your Boogieman (better than real mix to me).

Any remix version of Blood, Milk and Sky I love. It's the best song by this band, in my opinion. But I digress.

As for this debate, I still find myself leaning more towards the original album than the remix album due to the fact the original album has lots more sampling and isn't as skimpy on the guitars in some parts.

I must note that I love the beats and inspired industrial sounds the remix album has. I think it's better than American Made Music To Strip By miles.

Anyways, I can go on and on and on about this but in the end I voted for Astro-Creep: 2000.

Is the version of More Human Than Human different on the PPF disc than on the original? I don't really listen to that album much....I've heard cases where this is true with other bands...they put an "updated" version of the song on their best of album......I didnt think that happened on PPF.

But to stay on topic.....That's a tough question. Mainly because...The remixes do not sound like some random remix....they are done very very well, and they sound just as strong on their own. (Same goes for American Made Music with Hellbilly).

That was one thing I've always loved about Rob. He makes remixes that are actually good. Some bands it seems like they put a remix out just to put it out.

SSSS is like a whole different genre of music than Astro. For me, it really depends on my mood that day. I'll have to go with Astro-Creep though. If for no other reason than I just listen to it more. But I really do feel like Rob and the gang were on to something with these mixes. You could give a copy of this cd to a techno or dance type of friend who hates rock music and they might love it. Really REALLY excellent quality remixes, that's for sure!

I do have to say that I prefer the remix to I'm Your Boogeyman. I heard that version first when I was a kid and never knew another existed. Actually, the first time I heard the real version was on PPF. I love it, of course, but for some reason the remix just stuck.
